Our Story
After spending over a decade working in various mid and senior-level professional services positions with a few large companies and professional service firms. Our Founder, Nicholas King, felt disconnected from the clients he served every day. Observing that many small & medium-sized businesses could not obtain the bespoke business solutions they needed to meet their regulatory requirements and grow their businesses with confidence.
Our Founder saw an increased need for boutique firms that offer a complete set of professional services. Especially as there is an increased need for regulatory compliance, accounting, auditing, and IT auditing services in the Barbadian market and the wider region.
Therefore, out of a desire to be more connected to his clients and give more of himself. A vision was birthed to use his broad set of professional service experiences and qualifications to provide value for money services to the wider business community, especially SMEs, as these are the lifeblood of our great economy.
Hence, our Founder decided to leave his senior level position at one of the top ten international professional service firms and follow in the footsteps of his forefathers to become an entrepreneur. Thus, Royal Consulting Services Inc. was founded.

Our Leadership
Nicholas also held a senior level internal audit position with the island’s largest credit union.
Nicholas’ experience in the Governance, Risk and Compliance field includes performing fraud investigations, operational reviews, financial reviews, compliance audits, change management engagements, project management oversight, contract reviews, information technology audits, and consultancy services.
Nicholas also held a strategic management level position with one of the top ten international professional services firms, where he established and developed its Governance, Risk, Compliance & Cybersecurity department. In this role, he also helped to grow and expand the firm’s operations in various capacities, inclusive of its expansion into the wider Caribbean.
He is ACCA certified; a Certified Internal Auditor with the Institute of Internal Auditors and holds a Master of Business Administration from the Oxford Brookes University. He also holds numerous certifications in leadership, communication, data analytics and information technology auditing from numerous reputable institutions.
Nicholas is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Barbados, and The Institute of Internal Auditors Barbados Chapter, where he has been on the Board of Governors since 2019.
